Facebook Censors Beautiful Christmas Image Calling It Violent Content

As Originally seen on Conservative Firing Line.

On Wednesday, LifeSiteNews reported that Facebook, the social media giant once dubbed “Iron FistBook” by political cartoonist A.F. Branco for its censorship of conservatives and Christians, masked a picture of Santa Claus kneeling before the baby Jesus, warning visitors that the photo “may show violent or graphic content.”

According to the report, a second warning states: “This photo was automatically covered so you can decide if you want to see it.”

Those who wish can see the photo can click a button to reveal the innocuous picture:

Regarding “violent content,” Facebook says:

“We also know that people have different sensitivities with regard to graphic and violent content. For that reason, we add a warning label to especially graphic or violent content so that it is not available to people under the age of eighteen and so that people are aware of the graphic or violent nature before they click to see it.”

According to LifeSiteNews:

It remains unclear why the image of Baby Jesus and Santa was deemed by Facebook to be “violent and graphic content.”

On December 25, Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ that happened 2,018 years ago. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came into the world to save mankind from sin and to open the way to heaven. Christians consider God becoming man the greatest historical event to have ever taken place.

Doug Mainwaring further said:

Facebook has a long history of censoring faith-based organizations and individuals. The social media giant has been forced to apologize for numerous instances of improperly flagging conservative or Christian content as “hateful” or otherwise inappropriate. It has also come under fire for letting left-wing organizations like PolitiFact and the Southern Poverty Law Center influence its “fact-checking” and “hate speech” policies.

Facebook has censored a Christian theology professor after he criticized a video selling LGBT “pride” to children. It has suspended the account of Elizabeth Johnson, a Christian who goes by the name of Activist Mommy, after she called gender confusion a mental illness. The social media giant has also blocked ads for the movie Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer, labeling the film about the serial killer abortionist ‘political speech.’

It appears that the online speech Nazis at Facebook may have had a change of heart since Mainwaring’s initial report. As of this writing, we were able to view the uncensored image here:

But since this is Facebook, it’s difficult to say how long the photo will remain uncensored. We also would not be surprised to find the picture eventually flagged as “hate speech,” like a portion of the Declaration of Independence was not that long ago.

Meanwhile, the Silicon Valley tech giant lets LGBT activists post vile threats against Christians with no repercussions whatsoever. Worse yet, Pastor Rich Penkoski of Warriors for Christ tells us, the threats and harassment continues, with Facebook’s apparent approval.

Emails obtained by the Conservative Firing Line indicate that multiple individuals at the company are aware of the attacks, but so far there has been no response.

As a result of the company’s apparent hostility against Christians, Penkoski started an alternative social media site, SocialCross, which is geared toward people of faith. A number of other alternatives have also cropped up, as we reported here.

Biased, Orwellian enforcement like this was the inspiration behind “Banned: How Facebook Enables Militant Islamic Jihad,” a book published in 2016 by yours truly and American-Israeli Adina Kutnicki. Sadly, the situation has gotten much worse since that book was published.

Exit question: When will elected Republicans get off their thumbs and take meaningful action?
